Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release date set August 2016 as Galaxy Note 4 now available for $319.99

According to Samsung-centric website SamMobile, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release will happen in July, instead in September. For the past years, Samsung has been using the IFA event in Berlin, Germany as its launching platform for the Galaxy Note series. The South Korean tech company usually holds a media event a day or two before the conference.

According to reports, Samsung is looking into releasing its phablet in summer, which is actually better than fall release window as there are fewer competitions, especially the much anticipated Apple device.

Below are the top five specs and features that will make Samsung Galaxy Note 6 release more noticeable than other releases.

Snapdragon 823

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 823 from Qualcomm. This promises that the handset will be more powerful than its predecessors. There are rumors that the phablet will rely on another chipset, which could be its home grown chip or MediaTek.

6GB RAM

The Snapdragon 823 SoC is paired with 6GB RAM, which gives the device more power. This is very possible since last year's phablet packed 4GB of RAM.

IP68 Certification

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be dust and water proof since it will be IP68 certified.

Iris Scanner

To add to the security of the device, iris scanner will be added to the current fingerprint scanner. This futuristic feature may or may not make the cut in the final device.

Longer Battery Life

Due to the previous high end features, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will surely have to include a battery pack with better capacity.

However, there is no official statement from the South Korean tech giant yet.
