In March, the photo of a 47-year-old Chinese man went viral on Weibo because he could pass for his teen daughter’s boyfriend since he looks like in his 20s only. On Thursday, it was the turn of a 61-year-old Chinese grandfather to become viral.

Not because Liang Yuxiang looks 30 or 40, but he has the killer abs of a man in his 20s, reported What’s on Weibo. Because of his six-pack midsection, the old man from Chengdu is the latest Weibo sensation who could probably give “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki a run for his money.

If Liang has a ripped and gym-toned physique, it is because he is not a typical grandfather who would spend the day as a couch potato drinking beer while watching TV. He exercises a lot and even races cars.

In 2000, he noticed middle age was showing signs on his body which was beginning to become out of shape. A friend advised Liang to exercise, while he followed religiously while running a lamp factory. He explained that while many people view exercising as a hobby, for him it is a habit.

But gramps does not starve himself to achieve the body that many men younger than him could only dream of. He eats whatever he wants, including meat, and snacks too, but the secret to not having a beer belly or love handles is “Stop eating when you’re about 70% full.”

Liang is also into paragliding, which he took up in 2006 while on a cross-country car rally in Europe.

Many Weibo users commended Liang for his enviable body and said he is a good role model for elderly men. One user even wrote, “Granddad, you’re so hot.”

At 61, Liang has set his sight on competing in the Dakar Rally in 2017, reported Metro. Surely, he loves his children and grandchildren, but the old man emphasized, “The life of elderly should not only be about their grandchildren.”
