The airing of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress episode 2 has been moved to next week due to Fuji TV's special news coverage of 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit Kumamoto Prefecture on Thursday evening.
The latest project of Attack on Titan and Death Note director Tetsuro Araki, Koutetsujou no Kabaneri is a post-apocalyptic, steampunk anime that tells the story of lowly steam smith Ikoma and his ambitious desire to eliminate every single Kabane, a zombie-liked creature whose heart protected by layers of iron, from the face the of the world.
Despite containing similar elements as Attack on Titan, Kabaneri managed to live up the hype thanks to its impeccable art designs, stunning animations, excellent choice of soundtrack and a fast-paced story. Reviewers also raved about the main character's different level of toughness as proven by his disposition when he learned that he was bitten by a Kabane in the first episode.
All in all, the first episode of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress met, if not surpassed everybody's expectations, which make the airing of the second episode a must-watch. Unfortunately, Fuji TV had to postpone the airing of Kabaneri to give way for the special news coverage on the recent earthquakes in Kumamoto Prefecture.
