AT&T rolling out Android Marshmallow for LG V10

LG V10 on the AT&T network carrier is now getting the Android Marshmallow update.

Network carrier AT&T is finally rolling out the Android Marshmallow update for LG V10.

Meanwhile, other network carriers, such as T-Mobile and Verizon have already rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for their users of LG V10. The release schedule of US Cellular and Sprint regarding the Android Marshmallow update for LG V10 is not known. It is expected that they will also follow in the footsteps of AT&T and T-Mobile soon.

According to GSM Arena, the Android Marshmallow roll out has already started and it is commencing in a phased manner. Users can check their devices by going to Settings> About Device> Software Update to see if they are prompted to download the latest operating system.

As the update is heavy and over 1 GB in size, so users are also advised to download it over a stable Wi-Fi network in order to rule out any interruptions. The device also needs to be connected to a power source, in case it has less than 50 percent battery levels, according to Android Central.

LG V10 has received the Android Marshmallow update internationally. The update started to roll out in South Korea first and then spread to other regions quickly.

On the other hand, the Android Marshmallow update has already been released on other devices such as Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5. Sony Xperia Z series also received the update, but it was plagued with numerous bugs. Sony had to release a patch to fix the reported issues, almost immediately.

Android Marshmallow comes packed with numerous new features such as Doze Mode, App Standby and Now on Tap. It also has a completely customizable app permissions, which allow the user privacy. The revamped Doze mode ensures a better battery life for the device.

The Settings app has also gotten a makeover in the latest operating system update. It is now much simpler and easier to use, which ensures that the usability of the device increases manifold.
