Fans have been anticipating Bon Jovi's new album, "This House is Not for Sale" since 2015 and it looks like the wait will soon be over as the new LP will likely be released as early as August.
Initially scheduled for a March release, the album is now scheduled for a fall release date. The band vocalist further added that they will do an album tour starting February 2017.
Bon Jovi said during a press conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia that this album feels like going back to their roots. In fact, the chronological order of the album's tracks will feel like their journey from 1980s to present.
"We were recording at different times and different rooms in the studio. That's not happening anymore," Bon Jovi said in the press conference according to Ultimate Classic Rock. "We went back to the place where we cut 'Runaway' in 1982 where I used to sweep the floor and fetch coffee."
Some fans may like this move since in recent years, the band deviated a bit on how they sound. Going back to how they were originally known might please a huge portion of their listeners, the site added.
Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora left the band in 2014 and this would be the band's second album without their original lead guitarist. It has been rumored that Bon Jovi and Sambora had a feud since the guitarist refused to get treatment for his drinking problems.
Both sides, however, denied the rumors and stated that it was only musical differences that caused Sambora to leave. Fortunately, there is still a chance for the long-time friends to reunite in the future.
"I am not ruling it out, because I think I would do it a lot for the fans there, because they were so important to us," Sambora told ABC News Radio. He added that he loves these guys too much as he spent three decades with Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres and Dave Bryan so the possibility of a reunion is still on the table.
Here is an interview with Jon Bon Jovi on his relationship with Sambora when the latter left the band.
