The other star-studded cast includes Rina Kawaei, Mina Fuiji, Erika Toda and Shidou Nakamura. With director Shinsuke Sato at the helm, it has been learned that the film is currently in its full production. It is scheduled to be released nationwide on Oct. 29 by Warner Brothers Japan.

"Death Note: Light up the New World" is based on the most-acclaimed manga series, written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.
