'The Elder Scrolls' is a series of action role-playing open world fantasy video games primarily developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks.

There have been increased rumors about the upcoming installment in "The Elder Scrolls" franchise. Some of the speculations indicate that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will come out during the E3 2016, but based on Pete Hines, the VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda Softworks, the developer company may stick to the 4-year gaps.

In an interview with DualShockers at the Gamescom 2015, Hines made it clear that "The Elder Scrolls 6" or "Skyrim 2" will not happen anytime soon. The VP mentioned that he did not think fans were close to hearing about the next "Elder Scrolls" since the developers at Bethesda were working on "Fallout 4," something that takes the whole studio.

Bethesda has a tradition of not splitting teams, and therefore, fans may see updates on "The Elder Scrolls 6" by 2017. Besides working on "Fallout 4," the developer will release DLCs for the same game afterwards. Furthermore, the game developer releases a new "Elder Scrolls" after every 4 years, and it is possible that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will come out by 2019.

Meanwhile, in a different interview with the Telegraph, Hines debunked rumors that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be based on "Morrowind" or "Oblivion" when he referred to the upcoming installment as "Skyrim 2." The VP added that it rare to franchises like the ones Bethesda has and have people joking about "when Skyrim 2 is coming out."

Hines said, "The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge. They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'."

According to Hines, Bethesda values quality by doing smaller stuff as opposed to publishing to scale. While the company may change its strategy with regard to the presentation, everything done is noteworthy.

Concerning the location of "The Elder Scrolls 6," there is still a debate between Elsweyr and Valenwood. The game may be called "Argonia" or simply "Skyrim 2." Watch the sneak peek below for more information.
