'The Elder Scrolls Online' is a massively multiplayer online role-playing video game developed by ZeniMax Online Studios.

Bethesda Softworks will launch "The Elder Scrolls Online's" fourth downloadable content (DLC), "Dark Brotherhood," on May 31 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. The expansion will introduce fresh new quests, story content, and gameplay mechanics in the gaming world.

On April 25, Monday, the giant company has announced the release date along with full patch notes on its official website. The upcoming DLC will take place on the Gold Coast of Cyrodiil, where players can explore the port of the Anvil and the Kvatch.

The update will give players an access to join the "Dark Brotherhood" and turn into an assassin for hire equipped with an all-new powerful gear, unique crafting styles, and items. Two new delves that feature all new challenges and rewards to the players will also be added - Garlas Agea and Hrota Cave.

"Become the deadliest assassin with a new and exclusive passive skill-line, defend the Brotherhood against a mysterious foe in hours of new story content, prove your skill for homicide in new repeatable assassination quests, and more," a line from the DLC's description reads.

Starting today, April 25, PC players can get a taste of the upcoming DLC using the public test server. The said DLC pack will be accessible at no cost to the individuals who have an active ESO Plus membership, Game Spot has learned.

Otherwise, the patch will cost 2,000 crowns in the online store. Apart from that, a DLC Collector's Bundle priced at 4,000 crowns will also be available. It includes everything from the DLC game pack plus the Sylvan Nixad pet, the Highland Wolf Mount and a five Crown Experience Scrolls.

The base-game patch incorporates many changes and improvements in the gameplay such as the expulsion of Veteran Ranks, toggle-able nameplates for all playable characters, and nine revamped item sets in Sanctum Ophidia.

"The Elder Scrolls Online" is an MMORPG that debuted in 2014 and quickly evolved into a standout among the most well-known video games in the world. The next DLC pack for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console will be released on June 14.
