Reeling clubs Crystal Palace FC (10-17-9, 39 points) and Stoke City FC (13-14-9, 48 points) will both try to put a halt on their respective winless slides late in the season as they face one another in a 2015-2016 Premier League match at the Selhurst Park on Saturday, May 7th.

Crystal Palace is currently on a four-game winless spell and had won only once in their last six outings to drop at the 16th spot of the English top flight table. They are seven points adrift of the bottom three relegation zone with only two matchdays left in the current term.

The team was nipped by lowly squad Newcastle United FC, 0-1, last Saturday on the road at the St. James' Park to lose their second consecutive game, as reported by BBC Sport.

With a 20-yard free kick, English midfielder Andros Townsend provided the lone goal of the match for the Magpies at the 58th minute after a goalless first half effort from both squads.

Manager Alan Pardew's men had a chance to equalize the game at the 70th, but French midfielder Yohan Cabaye had an unsuccessful penalty kick attempt which was saved by a diving Karl Darlow.

Meanwhile, Stoke City settled for a 1-1 decision against bottom three team Sunderland AFC at their home ground of Britannia Stadium also last Saturday, as per SkySports.

Austrian striker Marko Arnautovic scored the opening goal of the match at the 50th minute for the Potters before the Black Cats' forward Jermain Defoe was able to equalize it in injury time to share a point in the overall standings.

It was the fifth straight winless performance for head coach Mark Hughes' squad, although the draw snapped the team's three-game losing skid. With that, the Potters have dropped to 10th place in the league table from as high as the seventh spot, allowing Southampton, Liverpool, and Chelsea to overtake them in the standings.

The predicted result is a tough 1-0 decision for Stoke City.

Crystal Palace starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Hennessey; Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souaré; Jedinak, Cabaye; McArthur, Bolasie, Puncheon; Wickham

Stoke City starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Haugaard; Bardsley, Shawcross, Cameron, Pieters; Whelan, Imbula; Shaqiri, Adam, Arnautovic; Crouch
