'Dragon Ball Super' spoilers: Future Trunks, Arale to show up in the anime show; Episode 42 trailer features Son Goku's clash with Monaka [VIDEO]

Dragon Ball Super is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation and the sequel to the Dragon Ball manga and TV series.

The latest details for "Dragon Ball Super" will feature Son Goku facing Monaka in episode 42 and the appearances of Arale and Future Trunks within the show.

The next episode for "Dragon Ball Super" titled “An Uproar at the Victory Celebration! Facing Off at Last?! Monaka vs. Son Goku” will feature a fight between Son Goku and his Universe 7 teammate Monaka. The synopsis for episode will have Son Goku and his friends return home safely and celebrate after the their victory in the tournament against Champa and his Universe 6 team. The celebration was cut short when the Omni-King Zeno appears before them and things take an unexpected turn, OtakuKart reported.

The episode 42 trailer also sees Son Goku fighting Monaka and they are evenly match. The God of Destruction Beerus chose Monaka as fifth member of the Universe 7 team along with Son Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Majin Boo, claiming that he is the strongest fighter Beerus has faced in the past. However, it is revealed by Whis that Monak is actually a scared amateur fighter and Beerus used him as leverage for Goku and Vegeta to be motivated in beating Champa's team.

In other news, two characters are speculated to appear in future episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" and these are Arale and Future Trunks.

Arale will be appearing in episode 43 titled "Struggling to take care of Pan" which will focus on Gohan taking care of his daughter Pan. Arale is one of the main characters in "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama's manga series "Dr.Slump" as robot created by scientist Senbei Norimaki/Dr. Slump. She first appeared in the first Dragon Ball anime in "Red Ribbon Army" saga as she helped Goku to fix his Dragon radar and defeate General Blue in the process, Dragon Ball Insider reported.

The first hint of Arale's appearance in "Dragon Ball Super" first came when Japanese actress Mayumi Tanaka posted a photo on her official blog site working with the cast of "Dragon Ball Super" and one of them is Arale's voice actress Mami Koyama.

As for Future Trunks, Toriyama stated in an interview that a "future related" character could be returning to "Dragon Ball Super" soon and will make kids "really happy". Twitter username Todd Blankenship was able to tweet the statement made by Toriyama in the interview.

Fans begun to speculate that the popular "future related" character could be "Future Trunks" and will likel involve another time travel related episode in "Dragon Ball Super". Future Trunks first appeared in "Dragon Ball Z" during the "Android" saga hunting down Android 17 and 18, and has a huge role during the events of the "Cell" saga.

Episode 42 of "Dragon Ball Super" will air on May 8 on Fuji TV.
