Monsta X is a South Korean hip hop boy group formed by Starship Entertainment in 2015.

Monsta X's Minhyuk talks about posing nude on the group's next pictorial. The 22-year-old idol reveals that he wants his group to do a nude photo book just like the six-member boy band Shinhwa.

On May 2, Monday, The Star magazine released Monsta X's recent pictorial for its May issue. The uprising boy group shows off a stripped jeans, hoodie and sneakers kind of looks, cementing their image as hip-hop icons.

In the accompanying interview, Monsta X was asked about the pictorial concept they were interested in.

"I want to do a photoshoot like how Shinhwa-sunbaenim did in the past. I want a photoshoot that can only be done when we are young," vocalist Minhyuk replied earnestly, as cited by All Kpop.

The longest-running group, Shinhwa, released their own nude photo book in 2011. It shortly made clamor in the music industry, considering that it was carried out for the first time by an idol group. There is no word on how Minhyuk's co-members felt about his remark.

Monsta X's leader Shownu also shared his experience in taping SBS' "Law of the Jungle." The 23-year-old star discussed being the maknae on the forthcoming episode 212 called "Law of the Jungle in Papua New Guinea."

"I thought of our own maknae, I.M, a lot. It was a totally new experience. The Super Junior hyungs took good care of me, but when I saw them, I thought I needed to act more like a Hyung in MONSTA X as well," he said.

Monsta X made their debut in the music industry in May 2015, under the label of Starship Entertainment. The seven members - Shownu, Minhyuk, Jooheon, Wonho, Kihyun and I.M. - were picked through Mnet's survival television show called "NO.MERCY."

On Dec. 2, 2015, the boy group received the Next Generation Asian Artist award at the annual Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) that took place in Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Exo. Upon receiving the award on the red carpet, the hip hop group performed some of their songs.

Meanwhile, Monsta X is poised to make a comeback on May 18 with the release of their third mini-album called "The Clan," Soompi reported. Members Jooheon and I.M were credited for giving a hand in the album, as both rappers' reportedly took part in the drafting of some tracks.
