'Game of Thrones' brings back another long-absent yet very important character

The HBO series "Game of Thrones" stars Isaac Hempstead Wright and Max von Sydow as Bran Stark and the Three-Eyed Raven, respectively.

After the much-anticipated resurrection of Jon Snow and return of Bran Stark in "Game of Thrones" Season 6, another Stark family member will be re-surfacing soon. According to Maisie Williams, the actress who plays Arya Stark, one of the surviving Stark children, Rickon Stark will be featured in the ongoing season.

Williams was speaking during a radio interview when she fielded a question from a Manchester-based listener who wanted to know if the littlest Stark, Rickon, will put an appearance.

"Yes... maybe," the actress says haltingly on BBC Radio 1. "We will indeed."

Rickon, the lost Stark baby, was last seen in the show in Season 3, episode 9, when he, Osha and his dire wolf split off from Bran and the others to head for the Last Hearth. He was supposedly heading towards the vassal house that is under the control of House Umber, a group that is known to be loyal to the Stark family.

Most of Westeros, including Arya and Snow, believes that he and Bran had died when Theon took over Winterfell. In fact, in their absence, Theon even burnt the bodies of two other boys, claiming that he had killed Winterfell's heirs in order to assert his questionable authority. However, in one of George R.R. Martin's source novels, "A Dance With Dragons," Rickon was expected to be on Skagos, an island filled with cannibals, while Ser Davos set out on his quest.

Although Rickon was last shown heading for a safer place, William's declaration along with "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 3 preview has created a stir among the fans since it shows  two representatives of the Umbers bringing Ramsay Bolton a "gift." Since the series often shows that as soon as one Stark is safe, another gets in trouble, it is highly possible that Rickon is handed over to Ramsay as Sansa is now free.

Adding fuel to the fire, actors Art Parkinson and Natalia Tena, who play Rickon and Osha respectively, were spotted in Belfast, Winter Is Coming reported. It is a known filming location for the hit fantasy series for scenes that take place in northern Westeros. Meanwhile, watch "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 3 preview below:
