Transformers: Battle Tactics

"Transformers: Battle Tactics" is the newest Transformers game to be made and will hit the Android and iOS platform. The game was developed by DeNa and Hasbro. The new Transformers game is a turn-based strategy game and will be released completely for free.

The developers claimed that the game was inspired by the "Combiner Wars" story on the comics and the Transformers Generation story that spans 30 years, according to PCMag.

This Transformers game will be the first of its kind to make use of the turn-based gameplay as most of the previous Transformers game rely on the third-person perspective.

The game was first announced on December 2014. It also features 75 various Decepticon and Autobot characters. Players are allowed to recruit any character on both factions, according to Adweek.

Longtime fans of any Transformer games will notice its resemblance to another DeNa developed game which is "Super Battle Tactics" only this time Transformer robots replace the tanks present in the game.

The game starts with players given control of four Transformers. During battle sequences players are allowed to "spin" for one of the five possible attack options. The attack damage will depend on the value where the "spin" lands, in case it lands on a lower number the player is allowed to use one of the three ability points for a chance to "spin" again.

The new Transformers game also features abilities like the Photon Strike. Transformer character can also transform to its robotic or humanoid form. However, this transformation technique differs from one character to another, some characters are stronger in one form compared to its alternate form and this can give players thousands of possible tactical strategies.

"Transformers: Battle Tactics" is now available at the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
