“Vikings” Season 4 episode 11 will premiere sometime in July, if the latest rumors are to be believed. Multiple reports suggested that the producers of the show decided to air the second half of the hit History channel series to make way for “Game of Thrones” Season 6.

According to Inquisitr, it will be a wise move for "Vikings" to delay its premiere, adding that no one wanted to go up against HBO's biggest series. Given, however, that "Vikings" airs on Thursdays, and "Game of Thrones" airs on Sundays, the shows are not directly competing against each other. Perhaps the shows are targeting the same demographics? With "GOT" Season 6 out of the picture, all eyes will be now on "Vikings" season 4 episode 11.

On the "Vikings" official Facebook page, a fan asked when the second half of Season 4 will air on History channel. The moderator replied that episode 11 will be available "later this year."

Inquisitr also pointed out that it will also make sense if the second half of the hit History series premieres in September.

"It gives fans a good break between the two parts as well as a fair break between Season 4 and Season 5, which is due to premiere in 2017."

It was said that a September Season 4B premiere will be the ideal time if the network wanted the show to be spread out evenly across the year. If History channel decided to follow this format, there will be four and a half month break between each season.

A four-month wait is actually not that long. It will also give fans more than sufficient time to re-watch the series if they wanted to.

While "Vikings" season 4 episode 11 is expected to focus on Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) and his sons, following his defeat in the hands of his brother Rollo (Clive Standen), showrunner Michael Hirst told Entertainment Weekly that fans will also get to see more of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) in the coming episodes.

"She's a huge part of the story going forward. There's something she does which is so unexpected, but when you think about it later, you think: 'No, she had to do that. That is Lagertha.'"
