After turning down a chance to star in a high-budget action film titled "Raid" starring Angelina Jolie's husband Brad Pitt, South Korean superstar Lee Minho is going to hold his first ever solo concert in Hong Kong in March, his management agency has confirmed, Korea Bizwire reported.

Lee is also set to appear in the upcoming film "Gangnam 1970" opposite Kim Ji Su and Kim Rae Won. The trailer was released in 2014 featuring the Filipino song "Anak."

Apparently, the said song by "Pyramid" hit maker Charice's fellow Filipino musician Freddie Aguilar is still known to the modern generation after its release in the Philippines in 1979 followed by an international success.

Recorded in more than 20 languages with more than 100 versions around the world, "Anak" became a hit song in the 1980s in the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia other countries in Western Europe among others.

Originally titled "Gangnam Blues," the said noir action film marks Lee's first major role on the big screen and is set to be released in 2015.

Apparently, there has been a strong bond between the Philippines and South Korea when it comes to music.

Before K-pop band BIGSTAR marked their 100th concert in Tokyo, Japan, one of its five members Sunghak sang "Anak" during the fifth installment of "KNATION Music Showcase 2014" on Oct. 6, 2014, Hello Kpop reported.

Other K-Pop bands who performed during the "KNATION Music Showcase 2014" show, which was organized by KFest Manila Events Management, are UKISS, M.PIRE and 4L.
