The "Red" music video of Hyuna of the K-Pop group 4Minute ranked fifth in the Rolling Stone magazine's list of 10 best music videos of 2014. Published on July 27, 2014 on YouTube, the music video was viewed 21.2 million times after six months.

Hyuna's "Red" beat Perfume Genius' "Queen," Disclosure's "Grab Her," Brooke Candy's "Opulence," OG Maco's "U Guess It" and St. Vincent's "Digital Witness." Topping the list are Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" at number four, Beyonce's "Pretty Hurts" at number three, DJ Snake's "Turn Down" featuring Lil Jon and Sia's "Chandelier" at number one.

In 2014, Hyuna's K-Pop group 4Minute was in the news when an accident during a K-Pop concert in Seongnam, South Korea killed 16 people from the audience.

About 700 people had gathered to watch the open-air pop concert near a shopping mall, which was part of the Pangyo Techno Valley Festival, when the cover 25 spectators were standing on to get a better view of the stage gave way so they fell more than 10m into the ventilation system.

The accident took place during the performance of girl group 4Minute, whose agency Cube Entertainment said the band members and staff learned of the accident only after the band had finished their performance while they were on their way back to Seoul.
