Current second-placed squad SSC Napoli (24-6-7, 79 points) will look to secure the runner-up position in the 2015-2016 Serie A season as they face relegated team Frosinone Calcio (8-22-7, 31 points) at the San Paolo Stadium on May 14th, Saturday in their season finale.

Napoli is currently in the no. 2 spot of the league table, nine points behind newly-crowned champions Juventus but only two points ahead of third-running team AS Roma.

Although they are assured of a Champions League appearance next season, this last match will be crucial for head coach Maurizio Sarri's boys if they want to finish the season as the runners-up to Juve.

Gli Azzurri are coming off a 2-1 victory over middling side Torino FC at the Olimpico di Torino last Sunday for their second straight win, as per Forza Italian Football.

This season's top goalscorer, Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín, opened the scoring at the 12th minute and was immediately followed eight minutes later by front field partner Jose Callejon to give the visitors the early two-point advantage.

Il Toro was able to respond at the 66th minute in the second half via a right-footed shot from Brazilian defender Bruno Peres off an assist by Giuseppe Vives.

Torino tried to equalize the count late in the game, but Vives was booked a second yellow card in injury time and was sent off, crushing their late-game comeback attempt.

Meanwhile, Frosinone is officially demoted to the Serie B next season after finishing this term second from the last place with only Hellas Verona having a worse slate than them.

I Canarini were defeated by contending squad US Sassuolo, 0-1, at their home ground of Stadio Matusa also last Sunday, as reported by ESPN.

Forward Matteo Politano provided the lone goal of the contest at the 85th minute for the visitors as the two teams almost fought to a draw.

It was the fourth consecutive winless effort for manager Roberto Stellone's side and their fourth loss in the last six games.

The predicted result is a 2-1 victory for Napoli.
