Speculations are rife that Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose have reportedly taken their relationship to the next level. The dating rumors emerged when the duo was spotted getting real chummy on set while taping the upcoming thriller-action film "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

The rumored couple were too close to the point that they were always playing pragmatic jokes on each other and shared their shenanigans to their respective Instagram accounts. The duo has also been reported sharing flirty conversations on numerous occasions.

Many individuals were keen to speculate that the Bulgarian-Canadian actress and the Australian model may have already developed romantic feelings with one another. Some also pointed out the fact that the duo is currently single.

Dobrev recently called it quits with actor Austin Stowell after seven months of dating, while Rose called off her engagement with Phoebe Dahl in December 2015. On May 5, the 27-year-old actress expressed her gratitude toward Rose, stating that the latter is a breath of fresh air.

"Ruby is a force to be reckoned with, and I'm beyond lucky to have her as a co-star and be able to call her a good friend," Dobrev told The New York Post. "She's hard-working, focused, funny, professional, fiercely, determined and a lot of fun to be around."

Amid the clamor, Dobrev and Rose have yet to comment on the latest dating rumors. Both stars are currently busy filming some scenes along with Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone, Samuel Jackson, Tony Jaa and Donnie Yen. The film is helmed by filmmaker D.J. Caruso.

The story follows the athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Diesel), who comes out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with a group of mercenaries, led by deadly alpha warrior Xiang (Yen), in a race to recuperate the sinister and savage  weapon known as Pandora's Box.

Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Cage finds himself enmeshed in a lethal conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments, Screen Rant reported. "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" is set to be released in theaters across the United States on Jan. 20, 2017 by Paramount Pictures.
