'Metal Gear Solid 5' DLC update: Konami announce update 1.2 for 'Metal Gear Online' this month; Latest features include new FOB soldiers, rank increase, 'Automatch', development items!

Directed, designed, co-produced and co-written by Hideo Kojima, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is an open world action-adventure stealth video game developed by Kojima Productions.

The latest details for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will feature a new game update for "Metal Gear Online" and a list of the latest in-game items, adjustments etc.

Konami announced a new game update for "Metal Gear Solid 5's" online mutiplayer mode, "Metal Gear Online" this month for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as the PC platform. The 1.12 update will have a download size 91MB to 595MB depending on which game platform gamers have, PlayStationLifeStyle reported.

The new features of the 1.12 for "Metal Gear Online " will include a rank increase and decrease being displayed on the mission results. Players are noted on their rank status on the scoreboard after each mission and they are determined by the number of arrows present. The more arrows being displayed the more chances of rank increase or decrease.

Scores from "Metal Gear Online" has been adjusted for each mission and assist scores will not be counted when woken up by a comrade when the player is asleep or stunned. Team "AUTOMATCH" creations are now prioritized for balanced players across both teams over preset player on a single team. "Rush" mode is now removed from the mission selection screen in "AUTOMATCH" except in the Xbox 360 version and will now occur in random frequency.

Combat logs will be displayed when the player is saved by fulton or woken up and time bonus XP for "Sabotage" has been adjusted. The is also reduced frequency fo disconnection for gamers in "Survival" mode. The player's network connection quality in "MGO" will now be displayed, as well as network connection quality will now be shown on the scoreboard during matches.

In other news, new weapons, items and skilled soldiers are added in the update 1.12 as gamers can now dispatch their forces during FOB missions. This allows gamers to dispatch a strike team on the base ahead of their infiltration to eliminate gadgets, traps and enemy units.

There are also new soldiers for unique skills in order to increase the player's PF rating and participate in Short League events, which is also being displayed in the PF rating screen.

“Challenge Tasks” will now include an online-only task missions. There are all kinds of tasks to try, from simple feats that can be completed with ease, to massive undertakings that will keep gamers trying for hours. The online "Challenge Tasks" will be added or changed as time progresses, so gamers should check the list of task they want to achieve.

The new development items for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" will include a SNEAKING SUIT Security Guard Stealth Camo, UA-DRONE Battery Vaporizer-Equipped UAV, a FOM DECOY Dummy Field of Movement Emitter, FB MR R-L FLTN Falkenberg Multi-Role Recoilless Rifle (Fulton Warheads), TORNADO-6 Revolver and an UN-AAM-NL Non-Lethal Machine Gun. Gamers must take note that these new items can be unlocked one by one after weekly maintenance periods, Gamespot reported.

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and the PC.
