"The Walking Dead" season 7 will soon name Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) victim, and there are some ongoing speculations that the villainous character killed off Norman Reedus' Daryl.

According to Design N Trend, there are several reasons why Daryl's death would make sense for the hit AMC series.

Compared to the other equally popular and well-loved characters on the show, Daryl is dubbed as "a character of consequence." Executive producer Scott M. Gimple previously said that whoever Negan killed will be a character of consequence and this tagline is perfect for Daryl.

Gimple also said that "The Walking Dead" season 7 will revolve mainly around the aftermath of a major character's death. Which means that if Daryl dies, the entire season will be packed with tons of intrigue and controversy. If a minor character was the one killed off, this wouldn't have as much impact on the show.

Meanwhile, Daryl's death will also come as a huge shocker to fans who may be speculating on the possibility. However, the minute that Daryl's death is confirmed, loyal viewers of the show will most likely react on social media. Doing this could help boost the show's ratings even though there's a huge possibility that the comments wouldn't at all be positive.

In other news, Reedus has a few other projects lined up for 2016 and 2017. On the actor's Imdb page, it has been revealed that Reedus will star in upcoming movies such as "Air," "Sky" and "Triple 9." The actor will also be working on a new TV show with AMC which will be called "Ride With Norman Reedus."

The publication is speculating that Reedus' upcoming show on AMC will be released in an attempt to tell his fans that they don't have to say goodbye to him completely even though he could have been killed off from "The Walking Dead."

Lastly, Daryl's death was previously teased on the show. What is only needed is an actual confirmation at the start of season 7 whether or not he's the one that Negan targeted recently.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on AMC sometime this October.
