Esther Jenner, Bruce Jenner's mother, has finally broke her silence regarding the rumors about the former Olympian's gender transition.

In an interview with the Associated Press as cited by Pink News, Esther said that Bruce came out to her briefly and she was proud of him. She also mentioned that being proud of Bruce when he reached his goal in 1976 was one thing, but with what he is doing right now is another thing, and it requires a lot of courage; and she, as a mother, never thought she could be more proud than ever.

Esther said that at first, it was a surprise to them. However, their family is very close and is supportive to one another especially now with what Bruce is doing and going through. She mentioned that Bruce told her that he is still the same person-he's still going to race cars, fly airplanes, and he's definitely going to get his helicopter license. His gender is the only thing that's going to pretty much change.

Bruce wanted to be honest to his family about his identity once and for all, hence the coming out. He and his mother had a long, serious talk about the matter. In the end, his mother accepted the fact and is indeed very proud of him.

While she admitted that it was hard to believe, Esther said she is at peace with what Bruce is right now.

On the other hand, Kim Kardashian also addressed the rumors going on about their stepparent, Mirror reported. With Bruce transitioning to female, she said that their family is ever-supportive of him no matter what as this is the happiest Bruce has ever been.
