"The Flash" season 2 will air its finale episode very soon and director Kevin Smith has some interesting spoilers for all of the show's loyal viewers.
During a recent interview on his podcast Fatman On Batman, Smith shared that he already all of the information for the upcoming two episodes of "The Flash" season 2.
"They got me the breakdown of what the last two episodes are, and there was something that happened in the episode after mine - and it includes you (Teddy Sears) in a big, bad way, and I was like, 'Arrghh.' I wish I was directing it because it is mad genius! It's the finale of the episode right after mine, so like the penultimate episode," he said.
Smith's statements somewhat suggest that something tragic will happen to Sears' character. The actor plays the role of Jay Garrick and Zoom in two different Earths.
Meanwhile, the director also talked about "The Flash" season 2, episode 23 which will serve as the finale episode.
"I saw that breakdown and I was like... And then for what they decided to do for the absolute finale... It was kind of mad sh*t as well. It's crazy. Like this is a show that ends big," he said.
"Last season, they ended on that huge high note where Jay Garrick's hat comes through at the end... It felt like that season finale was huge. It feels like the last three episodes of this season 2, and I'm not throwing mine in for the ego or anything like that, but the storyline that happens in that episode, the Barry stuff, is really crucial to the last two episodes so it feels like a triumvirate of episodes. It ends insanely, insanely strong," he said.
In other news, the upcoming episode of "The Flash" season 2 will see Barry Allen or The Flash (Grant Gustin) facing off with Zoom (Sears).
"Obviously, Zoom is going to face off with Barry Allen. They are going to have a thing... which they have to do, they have to sort of meet in the final... draw sprint off. It's good guy vs. bad guy," he concluded.
"The Flash" season 2 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
