Xbox Two is said to be the company's sweet revenge against the upcoming Sony PlayStation 4.5 NEO.

This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is less than a month away, and unsurprisingly, gamers from all over the globe can barely contain their excitement for what the event has in store for them. Moreover, E3 2016 seems to be receiving more traction and attention especially considering the rumors surrounding the arrival of new consoles.

Over the past few weeks, reports about Sony's rumored upcoming offering, the PlayStation 4.5, have made their way online. According to speculations, the Sony console may arrive by September of this year. On the other hand, there is also a possibility that Microsoft would unveil its Xbox Two during the upcoming E3 event.

According to a recent report by Forbes, Microsoft is likely to release a new console, especially in the light of the PlayStation 4.5. However, unlike Sony, Microsoft seems to be leaning towards releasing an entirely new console, the Xbox Two, and not an Xbox One and a Half.

"I'm not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we are going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it's reliable, the servers are doing well. If we're going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be really substantial change for people - an upgrade," quipped by Phil Spencer - head of Microsoft's Xbox division.

Elsewhere, more evidence of the Xbox Two's impending release have made its way online.

Advance Micro Devices Inc. or AMD, an American semiconductor company, recently confirmed that they have developed three semi-custom system-on-chips or SOCs. According to AMD CEO Lisa Su, as reported by Alphr, these SOCs are geared towards custom business and gaming gadgets.

Since Nintendo already confirmed the arrival of Nintendo NX, one of these new SOCs should be for the company's console. Likewise, the other two latest SOCs may in fact be used for the Xbox Two and the PlayStation 4.5.

Microsoft has yet to confirm rumors about the Xbox Two. Nevertheless, gamers are looking towards the upcoming E3 2016 for latest console news. E3 2016 is scheduled on June 14-16, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.
