Apple is yet to unveil their iPhone 7 but numerous leaks have already surfaced throughout the Internet. Now, a new photo shows that the next smartphone would have four speakers in total.
Previous leaks have shown that the iPhone 7 would have a dual camera setup and 256GB for its internal storage. They have not been confirmed by Apple but the new leaked photo now shows the chassis having four speaker holes with two at the top and two at the bottom.
The new information comes from the Chinese website TouTiau.com which posted the images. In terms of the authenticity, the photos were sourced from an Italian iPhone accessories maker who made the rear casing shown in the images.
It is common for phone casing makers to have the schematics of an unreleased phone so that they can manufacture the cases in advance. The schematics of the iPhone 7 was said to have been received from an anonymous source within Apple, AppleInsider reported.
Besides the four speaker grills that can be seen in the photos, there are also two holes for the cameras. It could also mean that the dual camera setup can be plausible too.
With an increased number of speaker outputs, the iPhone 7 could have more to offer in terms of sound. There could be a new stereo software feature that Apple is hiding and waiting to unveil at the upcoming WWDC.
Apple is expected to use their new A10 SoC that will have more powerful processors that are also efficient. The 256 GB internal storage is also not a far-flung idea as the cameras would have 4K video capability which means the file size of the captured videos will be large too.
The iPhone 7 could still have a variant with the measly 16GB internal storage, 9 to 5 Mac has learned. Apple has not strayed away from their storage schemes for the past few generations.
It is also possible for the speaker setup to be true for the next phone. The company had already featured a similar setup in their iPad Pro line.
Apple will just have to confirm the four speaker grills information if they actually reveal the iPhone 7 at their WWDC. The expected release date for the phone is somewhere in fall.
