‘Chicago P.D.’ Season 3 finale spoilers: Roman makes big decision; Justin brutally attacked

“Chicago P.D.” Season 3 finale feature Jason Beghe, Josh Segarra and Caroline Neff as Hank Voight, Justin Voight and Olive Morgan Voight in a scene in the hospital.

The "Chicago P.D." Season 3 finale is set to air on May 25, Wednesday, on NBC. Before the airing of the finale, executive producer Matt Olmstead shared some details about what viewers can expect especially from Officer Season Roman (Brian Geraghty).

In "Chicago P.D." Season 3 episode 23 titled "Start Digging," Roman needs to make a decision because of the injuries. He has to choose whether he should take a walk or just stay on but in a limited capacity in the police department.  

"He has to decide if it's important to him to help out in any way he can, or is the prospect of a desk job not what he's up for?" Entertainment Weekly quoted Olmstead as saying. "In his mind, he weighs it evenly between, 'If I can't be a full cop on the street then I'm not going to be a cop at all.'"

In "Chicago P.D." Season 3 episode 22 titled "She's Got Us," Trudy Platt (Amy Morton) tried to make a case to Commander Emma Crowley (Barbara Eve Harris) for Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Roman to remain partners. Also, Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) and Alvin Olinsky (Elias Koteas) investigated a pyramid scheme "self-help" group for prospective suspects.

In Start Digging," a murder investigation becomes personal for Hank Voight (Jason Beghe). His son Justin Voight (Josh Segarra) is attacked in the same way as a widowed, single mother who is found in the trunk of her car.

After a similar ruthless attack, Justin will be tracked down and found critically injured. In the hospital, Hank tries to console Olive Morgan Voight (Caroline Neff) at Justin's bedside, 2paragraphs has learned. She is Justin's wife and mother of Hank's grandson Daniel.

Meanwhile, aside from playing Roman in "Chicago P.D.," Geraghty is set to star in the upcoming drama comedy film "Avenues." His co-stars include "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" actor Nicholas Braun, "Rectify" alum Adelaide Clemens, "Transformers" actor John Robinson, "Sleepy Hollow" actress Maya Kazan, "Twin Peaks" actor Greg Vrotsos and Michael Angarano, who is also the writer and director of the film.
