“The Blacklist” is an American crime drama television series that premiered on NBC on September 23, 2013.

"The Blacklist" Season 3 wrapped up with a huge twist to the extent that it will change the direction of the show. A central question is the implication of the revelation about Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone) and Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) to Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader).

Since the death of Liz in "Mr. Solomon: Conclusion," the series has focused on bringing the person allegedly responsible for her death, Kirk, to justice. However, the final episode of Season 3 not only revealed that Liz was alive, but also she planned the deception with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) and Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) so that they could get away from Red.

Another shocking revelation came in the last scene, when Kirk confronts a tied-up Liz. Red's longtime enemy shockingly calls Liz Masha and reveals that he is indeed her father.

Apart from season finale clearing up some mysteries in the show, it raised more questions that need answers when Season 4 debuts. One of the questions concerns the whereabouts of Tom and Agnes. The two are definitely alive since Tom is set to star in the spinoff "The Blacklist: Redemption," but it remains a mystery how this small family will get back together.

In an interview with TV Line, Eggold said that the show will "deal with that in the beginning of season 4 and then make our way to a brand-new series."

With regard to the revelation that Kirk is Liz's father, the information has thrown the former FBI profiler for a loop, particularly since she knew that she had shot her father. Showrunners Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about season finale, admitting that this is "a big turn in the life of our series."

Bokenkamp said that Liz should believe Kirk, but Eisendrath warned that they still do not know his intention for taking her. However, it is certain that Liz and Mr. Kaplan's betrayal had definitely hurt Red and he is currently in a tricky and precious place emotionally.

It is not just Red, though, since some members of her Post Office team will consider her deception as a huge betrayal. Season 4 will delve into the way these people will control their anger and maintain their relationship with Liz.

"The Blacklist" Season 4 will return on NBC in the fall. Watch the sneak peek below for more information.
