NVIDIA's new flagship GeForce GTX 1080 is the most advanced gaming graphics card ever created.

GeForce GTX1080 and GTX 1070 are the next generation graphic cards released by NVIDIA. According to developer's announcement during DreamHack conference in Austine, Texas, the cameras' architecture is based on the Pascal structure of GP104.

Jen-Hsun Huang, co-founder and CEO of NVIDIA was present at the unexpected launch. Thereafter, there was the advertisement for the flagship GPU on NVIDIA's official twitter account.

The promotion read," The GeForce GTX 1080 features Pascal architecture, 16nm FinFET, GDDR5X, a beautiful design, and new graphics tech."

At the same time, there is an ongoing contest called "#Orderof10." In the contest, fans have 100 chances of winning incredible prices by solving challenges revealed through 10 days. Besides the GTX 1080 prize, HTC Vive, and powerful computers such as Maingear F131 chassis, EVGA X99 Micro 2 motherboard, Intel Core i7-5820k processor, 2TB Seagate HDD, and 32GB HyperX Fury quad-channel.

Rumor has it that the GTX 1080 is the most advanced GPU NVIDIA has so far ever developed. It will be three times faster in terms of speed and efficiency in comparison with GTX 980 Ti and TITAN X GPUs.

The camera as well has 8GB micron GDDR5X memory support at 10,000MHz and a 256-bit-wider bus, higher bandwidth of 320GB/s and  9 Teraflop a chip of not less than 7.2 billion transistors. Pascal with leaner TSMC FinFET and higher clocked at 1607MHz are the main cause of the high performance.

For the GTX 1070, it will be as powerful as the TITAN X with 6.5 Teraflops and the standard 8GB of GDDR5 memory. Founder edition cards will be available but at a higher price compared to those of the OEM, which fans are used to, according to Ars Technica.

The high price for the founder edition will be a little heart breaking for avid fans since the usual GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 will retail at $599 and $380 respectively in the United States. On the other hand, the Founders Edition, if directly obtained from NVIDIA will be retailed at $699 and $449 for GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 respectively. The new faceted color, design, and upgraded five-phase power supply are some of the additional features players will enjoy.

The GTX 1080 will be available globally on May 27, followed by GTX 1070 on June 10. Watch the footage below for GTX 1080 features.
