"Attack on Titan" is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.

New reports are pointing to details that the production of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is experiencing another delay. Rumors has it that the most possible release date of Season 2 may be an early 2017 premiere.

Movie Pilot claims that the sequel of the hit 2013 Japanese anime series is initially scheduled to air this year, but delays have been the major problem of the franchise to follow its original screen date. It was noted that the latest delay was due to the reason that director Tetsuro Araki is preoccupied with another project. It is said that Araki is also the director of "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," an anime series by Wit Studio.

It was also reported by Christian Times that Araki took a pause from "Attack on Titan" because "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress" only has a few episodes to show, and that he wanted to get over with minor projects like this before going to a major one like "Attack on Titan" Season 2, which is reported that will take a lot of time from Araki.

In addition, the official "Attack on Titan" distributor in Spain, Selecta Vision, confirmed the delay of "Attack on Titan" Season 2. Reports claim that the marketing director of the Spanish company, Manu Guerrero, exposed that the sequel will not be able to premiere this year, and an early 2017 premiere date is the most possible time frame.

As of the moment, no release date of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has been provided by the camp of the hit Japanese series.

Meanwhile, it is said that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 may feature two story arcs that were found on its manga version. The story arcs were said to be "Uprising Arcs" and "Clash of the Titans," which will feature giants who appear to have a physical appearance like an Ape. Rumor has it that Levi Ackerman may also face his death in the second installment and that the sequel might finally reveal the true identity of the Colossal and the Armored Titan.
