Acer recently unveiled their new Liquid Zest Plus smartphone which packs a 5000mAh battery plus the new TravelMate P2 notebooks with their Intel Skylake processors and up to 32GB of RAM.

The Acer smartphone with the large battery also has decent specs for a mid-range device. Acer claims that the massive battery capacity allows the Liquid Zest Plus to continuously illuminate its screen for up to three days on a single charge provided that the owner does not use it too much.

One of the common problems of smartphones today is the battery itself. Most smartphones do not last an entire day even if the user's activities are kept at a minimum.

Acer thinks that the Liquid Zest Plus is the solution with its 5000mAh battery. The smartphone even has a fast charging capability; Phone Arena has learned.

Charging a large battery can take too long considering that the average 2000mAh battery can take more than two hours to fill. The new phone's specs also help in preserving as much as juice as possible.

The Acer Liquid Zest Plus has a MediaTek MT6735 chipset with four CPUs. It also has 2GB of RAM, which is slowly becoming the standard for mid-end phones.

One disappointing fact about the phone is that it only has a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 on a 5.5-inch IPS display screen. It also has just 16GB for its internal storage, but I can be expanded with a microSD card.

Acer also unveiled their new TravelMate P2 notebook series which has outstanding specs geared towards businessmen and businesswomen. The notebook comes in 14-inch and 15.6-inch screen sizes.

The TravelMate P2 notebooks can carry as much as 32GB for its RAM plus an NVIDIA GeForce 940M discrete GPU, ZDNet reported. It will also be powered by the sixth generation Skylake processors from Intel.

Instead of the 940M, the new notebooks could have just used the recently unveiled GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 video cards from NVIDIA. The mechanical hard drive could have just been replaced with a fast SSD instead.

Acer is expected to launch the Liquid Zest Plus for $199 in July. The TravelMate P2 series notebooks will start at $599 and will hit North America by the end of the year.
