After the game development team announced that the space-themed open world video game would be delayed until August, a lot of fans were angry. Murray tweeted that he and his team were facing death threats after they broke out the news to everyone.

Kotaku was also the one who announced it first that the game was delayed. Schreier was the author of the article that contained the news, and he also received threats from angry fans. He described what it felt like to write about video games on the Internet.

With this new delay, fans will have to wait two months longer to play the game. It was previously announced that the open-world space travel video game will launch on June 21, but it was recently confirmed that the game will now be coming in Aug. 9 in North America, according to Kotaku. In Europe, it will be launched on Aug. 10, and in the United Kingdom, it will be released on Aug. 12.

According to Forbes, it is embarrassing for fans behave like this just because of the bad news. Author Paul Tassi is disappointed that this happened a lot of times in the gaming industry more often than in other industries. He added that these threats should be taken seriously, since even if it does not get resolved, it does psychological stress to those have been threatened.

Murray explained in a statement that the team understands that the new announcement was disappointing. He added that they are just trying to make the tough choices to get the video game that they developed right.

The universe of the game is really vast and it is more than the fans can imagine, Murray described. This is a new type of game that has not been attempted before, and it was done by a small development team only.
