Google Nexus 7 2016 release skipped the recently concluded I/O Google Conference and is rumored to take place sometime in October. Meanwhile Asus just revealed its most powerful smartphone to date alongside a wide array of tablets and laptops.
Asus brought out its big guns with wide ranging devices covering the different markets, one of which is Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Below is the comparison of the rumored specifications of Google Nexus 7 2016 and Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe features.
Screen Display
Google Nexus 7 2016 is rumored to pack a 7-inch screen display following the size of previous Nexus 7 tablets, while the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe boasts a 5.7 inch screen display, which is a standard size for phablets.
Processor
It is rumored that Google Nexus 7 2016 will run with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820, which is packed inside the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe. However, there are whispers saying that the Nexus device will pack an NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.
Operating System
Asus premium smartphone runs with Android Marshmallow, which will be a thing in the past when Google rolls out the Nexus7 2016 with Android N operating system. The dessert name of the new Android OS is still being suggested by Android fans where Google will choose from.
Storage
Google Nexus 2016 could be the first Nexus smartphone to pack a 2TB external storage via microSD slot, which is missing from the previous Nexus smartphones. Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe comes with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage variants with microSD slot of up to 128GB.
Camera
Google will reportedly offer a smartphone that may pack a 12MP back camera and 5MP front-facing camera. However, this is nothing compared to Asus Zenfone 3's 23MP back camera and 8MP front shooter.
Battery
The amazing hardware packed by Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is supported by 3,000mAh battery. The same battery capacity was suspected to support Google's hardware.
