The guessing game is still on! Google Nexus 2016 release is rumored to happen in the fourth quarter after the device skipped the recently concluded I/O Conference.
The aforementioned event ended without introducing Google's flagship device that everyone is waiting for. New reports claim that Google Nexus 2016 release will not happen until Q4 this year. Speculations jumped back to possible launch date in October similar to the past years.
Moreover, this is fueled by the latest leak from tipster Evan Blass, who claimed that HTC is developing two new Android N devices for Google, and the devices are internally named as S1 and M1.
"HTC is building a pair of Android N devices for Google internally dubbed M1 and S1 #nexus," Blass tweeted. The rumored Nexus 2016 devices have been dubbed as HTC Sailfish and Marlin.
Rumor mill claimed that Google Nexus 2016 will pack 5-inch display whereas the high-end version would be packed with a 5.5-inch display. Under the hood, the device will be powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC and NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor paired with 4GB of RAM.
Google Nexus 2016 could be the first Nexus smartphone to pack a 2TB external storage via microSD slot, which is missing from the previous Nexus smartphones. The smartphone may also pack a 12MP back camera and 5MP front-facing camera. All of these hardware specs are supported by 3,000mAh battery.
The upcoming Google Nexus 2016 will boast the new Android N operating system with new software features. It is reported that the OS will pack Android Pay that is working in more countries for wireless payments.
However, there is no concrete confirmation from Google regarding the Google Nexus 2016 release. Thus, consumers will have to wait and see.
