Is Dakota Johnson back with Matthew Hitt?

Now that the filming for “Fifty Shades Darker” has wrapped up, lead stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan are free to spend more time with their respective significant others. “The Fall” actor has been spotted a couple of times with wife Amelia Warner and now, Johnson was seen with on-again, off-again boyfriend Matthew Hitt.

According to Inquisitr, Hitt and Johnson were seen hand in hand strolling the streets of New York City. Their reunion was unfortunately cut short as the actress had to catch a flight back to Canada.

The sighting definitely took fans of "Fifty Shades Darker" actress by surprise, given that she explicitly said a couple of times that she is single. She joked that a lot of guys were scared of her, given the role she portrays in the erotic film.

In an interview with Telegraph early this year, Johnson admitted that her life changed dramatically after "Fifty Shades of Grey." She shared that men had the tendency to confuse her with her character, Anastasia Steele. She shared that some cannot help but think that they enjoy the same kind of kinky sex as her character, which clearly upsets the actress.

"Some people think this is something I'm interested in in my private life, which is not the case. I'm an actor - I pretend. But I guess it's something that happens with a lot of actors: people think that in real life they are like the characters they play."

Johnson previously said that she does not mind staying single for a while. The "Fifty Shades Darker" star said that she liked to focus all her attention on her job at the moment. Johnson also said that she found it hard to meet new people, based on her incredibly busy schedule. While online dating scares her, she admitted that the thought of meeting someone online intrigued her.

"I can't say that I have ever been tempted. I've heard stories of people meeting the loves of their lives online and that's great. But it freaks me out," she shared.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters on February 10, 2017.
