What awaits Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) when "Teen Wolf" Season 6 returns?

"Teen Wolf" celebrated its fifth year anniversary yesterday on June 5. After being on air for five years, there are definitely a lot of changes, both good and bad, in the hit MTV series. In the last couple of months, there were even rumors of replacing one of its major characters, Dylan O'Brien (Stiles Stilinski) following his recent injury on the set of "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure."

According to Carter Matt, several members of the "Teen Wolf" cast took to Twitter to commemorate the special event: the show's fifth anniversary. Even Colton Haynes, whose departure definitely shocked fans, acknowledged the show's popularity, after it trended worldwide on the social media site.

"Wow, #5YearsOfTeenWolf! And of course y'all got it trending cause ur the best. Sending a massive hug to the OGs!" he tweeted.

"Here's to five more years of the show that changed my life cheers," Tyler Posey posted.

"The short amount of time I've been blessed with has been life changing. Couldn't be more grateful. Couldn't be happier. #5YearsOfTeenWolf," Cody Christian also tweeted, ending it with the official hashtag, #5YearsOfTeenWolf

In its five-year run, and counting, the outlet held that "Teen Wolf" has become more complicated and mature, tackling several issues such as afterlife, relationships, trust and heartache. They predicted that the series will still go on for at least two more seasons. The majority of the characters, after all, expressed interest in doing the series for as long as they possibly can.

Following Dylan O'Brien's unfortunate incident, several outlets predicted that it was only a matter of time before he gets replaced in the series. Insiders claim that the healing process was taking much longer than expected and the network could not afford to wait for him. Bustle, however, reported that "Teen Wolf" creator Jeff Davis had no intention of replacing O'Brien. Davis added that O'Brien, himself, was excited to get back to filming as soon as he gets better.

"We hope to get him back on Teen Wolf to film, while being injured, but the thing is, he wants to film, he's in perfect condition. But he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts," Davis explained.
