“Teen Wolf” Season 6 is expected to introduce new characters with the alleged absence of Dylan O’Brien (Stiles Stilinski) and Arden Cho (Kira Yukimura). Following his recent accident on the set of “The Maze Runner: The Death Cure,” multiple reports suggest that the actor will not be coming back in the hit MTV series. Cho, on the other hand, confirmed that she would also not be reprising her role when the show premieres in June.
According to Inquisitr, "Teen Wolf" Season 6 will without a doubt move on without O'Brien and Cho's characters. Earlier this month, it was rumored that One Direction's Harry Styles will most likely take O'Brien's place. The rumor, however, was soon proven to be false, alongside reports that showrunner Jeff Davis was bringing the singer in for a cameo role.
The outlet, however, insisted that it was "highly unlikely" that O'Brien will recover in time for "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Insiders are still reportedly buzzing about who will eventually take O'Brien's place. Melissa Ponzio's recent tweet, who plays Melissa McCall on the series, hinted that fans can definitely expect to see more characters in the premiere.
"New faces, places, emotions, possibilities, confusion, passion, tactics, problem solving, honor, relying on others, loss = #TeenWolfSeason6," she tweeted.
Meanwhile, back in April, Arden Cho, on her official YouTube channel, confirmed that she will be leaving "Teen Wolf" after Season 5. On the clip, the actress thanked her fans for the support they have given her character for the last three and a half years. Cho, however, admitted that she was hoping a more "epic ending" for Kira rather than just her heading off into the dessert to learn how to control her powers from the Skin Walkers. She added that she would have wanted to explore more of Kira's powers and her time with the Skinwalkers.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Cho did not fully disclose the reason for her departure. It seems, however, that she is as surprised as everyone else when she found out that Season 5 will be the end for Kira.
"I think sometimes in a show where there's so many characters, there isn't always room for everyone," she added.
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 is expected to premiere in June. Tune in for more spoilers and updates.
