"Game of Silence" season 2 was not confirmed by NBC, and fans are not very pleased with their decision to cancel the new series.

On Thursday night, "Game of Silence" season 1 aired its finale episode with some shocking twists.

Ahead of the finale, showrunner David Hudgins said that there will a result and a payoff from all of the things that the former Quitman boys will be doing.

"You get a result and you get a payoff - but it's also an ending that people find shocking... opening up the world to a whole other level," he told TV Line.

Unfortunately, the series was no longer renewed so it ended with Gil (Michael Raymond-James) almost killing Roy Carroll (Conor O'Farrell); Jessie (Bre Blair) showing off a slideshow of Carroll's ill deeds during his dinner; and Marina (Claire van der Boom) and her unborn child being killed off.

Following the gut-wrenching finale episode, fans expressed their desire to have the series renewed.

On TV Line's website, one fan @Ron Stone couldn't believe NBC's decision to axe the series just after a few episodes.

"Can't believe NBC would allow this to end like this. All the networks are the same, their news is entertainment and reality shows. Anything with any substance, any thinking show, hits its graveyard. The dumbing down of America."

Another fan @Dysturbed wrote, "It sucks when a show gets cancelled, even mor so when it ends with cliffhangers. The reality though is that if the ratings are poor in the key demo, then the advertisers won't usually pay much to the networks to air their ads when the show is on."

One fan @Pamela Dunton wondered if there's any hope that the series can still be renewed even after its cancellation was already finalized.

"Please don't cancel this show. What would it take to keep this show on?"

One fan @Dave replied, "Time going back to when the show premiered and resulting in better ratings."

Another fan @Michelle said, "I'm so mad this was cancelled. NBC never gave it a shot. At least TRY it on a new night. Tonight was insanely good. I wish another network will pick it up because it's fantastic."
