The much-anticipated game from Paradox has now been released. "Hearts of Iron IV" is a strategy video game that is part of the Hearts of Iron series. This game focuses on the World War II and the technology covering naval, land and air power.
Unlike other war strategy games, the player is not only going to lead a team of soldiers or special units. In "Hearts of Iron IV," the player leads an entire nation (via Kotaku) as a president, a military commander and an industrial mogul. Instead of being responsible for a small unit, the player gets to oversee the whole war, from training troops to research to producing weapons to making battle plans and deploying troops. Now that looks like a lot.
And it is a lot. With all the buttons the player needs to learn to get everything done, it will take a huge amount of hours to master the game given its size and complexity, as IGN puts it. If you're the kind who likes to tinker complex things and invest much of your time navigating all the sides of the game, your every penny spent purchasing this game will be a lot sure worth it.
It's a plus if you love history. "Hearts of Iron IV" brings you back to the Second World War and lets you take part in the growing conflict among nations in the world. The player can take the role of the big nations whose histories are well known, or you can go to war as a minor nation and make your own version of the history. Any war campaign though won't be easy to accomplish and win. There is going to be multiple layers of strategy planning and execution the player has to undertake, covering the entire was supply chain.
"Hearts of Iron IV" is released on June 6, 2016. The game is developed and produced by Paradox Interactive. The release trailer of the game features the Rise of The Axis Powers and Orchestra soundtrack. Single or multiplayer, the game is available on Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux platforms.
