The latest details for "The Flash" live-action movie will feature Captain Cold and Barry Allen to have another cameo in the "Suicide Squad" movie.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding a new actor joining the DC Extended Universe as "21 Jump Street" and "Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum will be joining the live-action "The Flash" movie. Recent reports revealed that the new director for "The Flash" film Rick Famuyiwa will be working on the materials needed for the film as he tweeted photo of several comic books from "The Flash" in order to prepare himself when helming the DC comic book film.
But what makes this more interesting is that Famuyiwa began following several actors, directors and writers that are associated with the DC Extended Universe and in the main DC branch such as Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ray Fisher, Geoff Johns and Zack Snyder. Famuyiwa added Tatum to the list and this sparked several fan speculations that the "Step Up" star will be headed to the DCEU and leaving the "Gambit" spin-off in Fox's "X-Men" movie franchise. In addition, Tatum is rumored be on "The Flash" film as one of Barry Allen/The Flash's (Ezra Miller) nemesis, Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, ComicBookMovie reported.
Previous reports revealed the characters for "The Flash" film such as Jay Garrick, Iris West, Fred Chyre, Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash and Leonard Snart/Captain Cold. Leonard will be called "Len Snart" in the film and he will serves as "the muscle" behind Eobard Thawne similar to Anatoli Knyazev's (Callan Mulvey) role in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice".
So far, there has been no statement from Tatum regarding him leaving the "Gambit" spin-off for a role in "The Flash live-action movie.
In other news, it seems that Barry will making another cameo appearance in DCEU film's before his initial appearance in "Justice League" movie part 1 and his solo film.
According to The Geek Mafia, Barry Allen/The Flash will be appearing in "Suicide Squad" movie as part of Captain Boomerang's (Jai Courtney) introduction to the film. Captain Boomerang is one of The Flash's many enemies and also a member of the super villain team, The Rogues.
The Flash made two cameo appearances in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" when he traveled back in time to warns Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) of an incoming threat, Lois Lane (Amy Adams) being the key into all of this and find metahumans like himself to form the Justice League.
The second cameo is when Barry stopped a robbery at a convenient store as he was about to get milk. Barry used his speed to quickly dispatch him, but was caught on the CCTV camera. Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) found out about and put on his hard drive along with other metahumans like Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), Arthur Curry.Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Victor Stone/Cyborg (Fisher).
The Flash will appear first in "Justice League" Part 1 on Nov. 17, 2017, and his solo film is on March 16, 2018.
