'Gangnam Blues' star Lee Min-ho all set to grace 19th Shanghai International Film Festival red carpet

'Bounty Hunters' is an upcoming action comedy drama film directed by Shin Terra and starring Lee Min-ho, Wallace Chung, Tiffany Tang, Jones Xu, Karena Ng and Louis Fan.

South Korean actor Lee Min Ho, 28, just confirmed his appearance at the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival. Reports claimed that the "Gangnam Blues" actor is all set to grace the red carpet at one of the most glorious events in Asia, which officially kicks off on June 11, Saturday.

On June 7, Tuesday, Lee's representative told Kpop Herald that the actor was invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival 2016. The representative confirmed that Lee's appearance in the highly anticipated event will help promote his upcoming "Bounty Hunters" film.

In "Bounty Hunters," Lee plays the skilled martial artist, Yi San, who is a member of top-notch bounty hunters. It is expected to highlight action, thrill, romance and comedy all in one. With a scheduled released in local theaters on July 1, the action-packed film marks Lee's debut film in China.

Lee will join the likes of Hwang Jung Min, Kim Ji Won, Ha Ji Won, Chun Jung Myung, BIGBANG's T.O.P and more. Reports claimed that Jung Min was invited for his blockbuster film "The Himalayas," while BIGBANG's T.O.P will be in attendance for the upcoming German-Chinese film, "Out of Control," along with Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi.

Further, "Descendants of the Sun" star Ahn Bo Hyun will bow down at the upcoming event after his latest movie "Hiya" has been nominated in the 19th SIFF Panorama Korean Film 2 category. Ahn takes on the role of Lee Jin Sang, a delinquent of the family and is dealt badly by his younger brother Jin-Ho (Hoya). Despite that, Lee Jin Sang shows undying love for his younger brother.

"It's a small movie, but it has a big message. It gives a great deal of comfort," a representative from the Shanghai Film Festival told the local media, as quoted by Drama Fever. The representative added that the said short-film will hold its world premiere in SIFF.

The Shanghai International Film Festival, which is touted to be one of the biggest events in Asia, will feature a feast of Korean films extravagantly prepared for enthusiastic Hallyu fans. It was learned that more than 21 Korean movies will be shown at the festival. The featured films are mainly of drama, criminal or suspense genres.

Founded in 1993, the 19th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) will run from June 11-June 19. Check out the video below:
