In light of the success of KBS2's "Descendants of the Sun," it has been confirmed that Song Hye Kyo will be joining Song Joong Ki in his much-awaited fan meeting in China later this month.
On June 7, Tuesday, Sichuan Agency for Cultural Affairs announced the exciting news on their official website. According to the website, the 34-year-old actress will be making a guest appearance in Joong Ki's fan meeting in Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan, on June 17.
"We fully allow the appearance of Song Hye-Kyo during the event," the post reads, as quoted by The K-Pop Herald. "Further permission will be made based on the article 'Korean celebrity Song Joong-ki's entertainment activities in Sichuan.'"
Making the anticipation much even higher, the so-called Song-Song couple will be singing a duet version of the show's OST, "You Are My Everything," which is written and performed by Park Ji Yeon aka Gummy. It can be recalled that the said soundtrack topped iTunes K-pop charts in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, All K-pop reported.
Not long after the news broke out, fans of the show shared their excitement through social media, particularly now that dating rumors surrounding the two escalated after they were reportedly spotted several times together. Hye Kyo and Joong Ki played the on-screen couple, Dr. Kang Mo Yeon and Army Captain Yoo Si Jin, in the recent KBS 2TV series.
The television series instantly catapulted both artists to international fame and success. Further, the drama established Joong Ki as a top Hallyu star. Hence, to repay all his fans who have been supporting him with caring hearts, the actor kicked off his Asia fan meeting tour in Seoul, South Korea, in April.
Joong Ki's next fan meeting is scheduled to be held at the AsiaWorld-Expo Arena in Hong Kong, at 8:00 P.M. on June 11, Saturday. Numerous newsstand in South Korea claimed that Lee Kwang Soo will once again attend the upcoming event, giving a ton of anticipation of their interaction with each other. It will then be trailed by a Taipei, Taiwan fan meeting on June 25.
