Children's Walking Dead Cosplay Shoot

"The Walking Dead" is one of the most watched TV series and has a huge following online. No wonder a New Jersey photographer used the show as the theme of a photo shoot but instead of using adults, Alana Hubbard featured kids who mimicked different scenes from the show.

Iconic scenes from the zombie franchise were recreated by children featuring death scenes, zombie mauling and bloody beatings. Although it was merely a fun activity for the kids and for photographer Hubbard, it received various feedbacks and reactions which made the images viral.

As of this writing, the photos were shared over 200,000 times since it was posted on Saturday and it received angry messages from users who left vile comments on the photos. With that, Hubbard of the Mother Hubbard Photography stayed up late until 5 a.m. to delete the images which she called "trash."

Although Hubbard added disclaimers to the photos saying that no children were harmed during the photo shoot and that injuries were merely added using Photoshop, the followers still hated the pictures. Hubbard even said that the location isn't set on an area with a functional train track. Instead, it is an old train track wherein no train passes and it is surrounded with plants and trees.

She also said that her children played Rick and Carol joined by the friends of their kids. The scenes were suggested by her family and friends which featured the most iconic scenes from the movie.

Hubbard said that she has videos of the behind the scenes which shows that the kids were just playing and were having a great time. She added that they enjoyed the Negan scene the most and everyone wants to play dead.

"I don't see it as a big deal. The kids were all laughing, no children were harmed, no children even had zombie make-up on. It was all edited in Photoshop. They had a fun time killing zombies and running around," Hubbard said according to Gizmodo.

Because of the images, Facebook banned Hubbard for violations of the social media site's community standard. But later on, it was reinstated because according to its representative, the photo was removed in error and was restored after investigation, NY Daily News reported, adding that they remove graphic images when it is posted to glorify violence and for sadistic pleasure. However, gruesome looking photos are blurred and would prompt users with a notice of graphic content prior to viewing it.

One of the most controversial images in the photo series is one scene wherein Carol, played by the three-year-old daughter of Hubbard, was pointing a gun on the head of psychotic child Lizzie after asking her to look at the flowers. There is also a photo wherein a child is dressed like Negan and another shows Daryl riding off on a miniature motorcycle while kiddie cannibals followed him.
