"The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 6 finale closed with a major cliffhanger. Negan makes his first appearance and kills one of the Rick's group members. Several theories are floating around. Some are speculating it is Glenn who died and others are wondering if it's Daryl Dixon.
Fans will have to wait for four and a half months for "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 episode 1, which will reveal who Negan killed and the fate of Daryl Dixon. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reedus teased an explosive premiere.
"I think probably the planet is going to explode. That's my feeling. It's so good. Every time we go on a promotional tour talking about what's going to come, we all say 'Oh my God, it's amazing. I can't wait for you to see it,'" Reedus told the publication. He said "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 premiere is "worth the wait."
Speaking to Wall Street Journal, Reedus said that the season opener will provide "instant gratification" to the fans who have waited months for "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 premiere. Meanwhile, he said that the upcoming season is "completely different" and "totally insane."
As for his character, Reedus suggests that he is not in a good position after being shot in the shoulder, close to his lung. He has reportedly lost a lot of blood and he is most vulnerable at this time.
"I feel like he's at his most vulnerable state, right there. Negan has the numbers and it doesn't look like it's something they're gonna get out of. He doesn't really have the strength to fight. I think that's a hard position for Daryl to be in. I don't think he's used to that. So yeah, he was very afraid," Reedus said of Dixon's future on "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
In addition, "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman said that Negan will be an "ever-present, constant threat" to Rick and his group members in Season 7. In an interview with Uproxx, Kirkman revealed that the recently introduced villain will alter everything moving forward.
Meanwhile, the show is expected to introduce some new character such as Ezekiel and his pet tiger Shiva.
Considering previous season's schedules, "The Walking Dead" (TWD) Season 7 episode 1 is expected to go on air the second Sunday of October 2016, which happens to be Oct. 9. However, the network is yet to reveal the official premiere date. Stay tuned for more updates and spoilers.
