Microsoft and Sony have announced their free games for July. Which company offered the best titles?

Words online have it that an open beta for the new "Halo Wars" game will kick off on June 13 until June 20. In line with this, there have been screenshots that surfaced online, which include one that shows the return of Alice-130.

Xbox Live's Major Nelson was following an account on Italian site Mondox Box called "Halo Wars 2 Open Beta," a member of Neogaf forum has found out. When he checked the site, it revealed a store entry which says the open beta on Xbox One will begin on June 13 up to June 20.

He also posted a couple of screenshots on the thread. No official announcement has been made yet regarding the said "Halo Wars 2" open beta, but it is presumed that it will be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. This year's E3, where big announcements usually occur, will take place on June 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Another image captured was also leaked on the same forum from the CGI trailer and it shows a Spartan-II Commando, Alice-130, from the first "Halo Wars." Check out the said screenshot below that fans posted on Facebook.

"Halo Wars 2" is the sequel of the first real-time strategy game "Halo Wars" that was released in 2009. While the first one was made by the now closed Ensemble Studios, the second game is being developed Creative Assembly, in partnership with 343 Industries. The follow-up game will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. "Halo Wars" was released exclusively to Xbox 360, so whether there is going to be a cross-platform support, there is no word on that yet. Fans would probably learn more during Microsoft's E3 2016 briefing that is schedule on June 13 from 9:30 a.m. EST.

"Halo Wars 2" is expected to be released on Xbox One and PC this fall. However, another post on Neogaf leaked that based on the "Halo Wars 2" trailer that was immediately removed by Microsoft, the release date has been moved to Feb. 21, 2017, instead of later this year, WCCFtech reported.

In the meantime, here is the trailer for "Halo Wars 2" when it was announced.
