The rollout for the Note Edge comes three weeks after owners in Europe began getting Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update on their devices.
Also, Samsung Galaxy S6 is currently getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update. Owners of Samsung Galaxy S6 can use the custom firmware known as XtreStolite to install the latest operating system on their devices.
The custom ROM is particularly compatible to the units that have the model number G920F or the global variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6.
The firmware offers a quick and stable performance. However, it is important to note that this is an unofficial way to update the device to Android 6.0.1 M. Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 should be more careful during the installation to prevent damaging the handset permanently.
Furthermore, it is necessary to have the right model of the device. The firmware is suitable for the G920F units only, according to Team Android. Users can check the model of their smartphone by going to the Settings menu and tapping About Phone or About Device option.
