The famed author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” fantasy novel series, George R.R. Martin, is going to pull another trick at the Worldcon 2016 this August.

It was in 2011 when George R.R. Martin released his fifth installment of his "A Song of Ice and Fire" book series, and with the sixth installment, "The Winds of Winter," already experiencing a delay, rumors are now leading to details that the book is going to have another setback due to Martin's recent illness.

According to reports, the award winning author admitted that he acquired an illness after attending the Balticon event in Baltimore, Maryland, Vine Report has learned. It was also cited that Martin posted on his blog about his illness that he got after a road trip going home from Baltimore to New York. The author added that he has lots to catch up, but he could not do it now because he does not have the energy to do so. Martin also said that his assistants, Jo and Lezli Robyn, got the same illness.

The same publication also noted some possible storylines to be included in "The Winds of Winter." Rumors are loud that Jon Snow and Arya Stark may develop a romantic relationship in the future. It was also speculated that Tyrion Lannister may have the same thing with Arya.

On the other hand, it can be remembered that "The Winds of Winder" was said to be released before the premiere of "Game of Thrones" Season 6. Sadly, Martin confirmed earlier this year that the book is not done yet. He also said that the publishers and editors are not happy about the setback.

The author also noted that he was provided with various deadlines for the sixth installment, and that it is best for all to make the book available in April, but he just could not complete "The Winds of Winder" by that time. He emphasized that his writing is unpredictable, sometimes it goes well, and sometimes not. With that, he apologized to the fans in regards to the book's delay, Vox reported.

As of the moment, there is still no clear release date for "The Winds of Winter."
