The latest details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature a new short prelude, "Final Fantasy" worlds not added and a "Kingdom Hearts" collection in the works for the PlayStation 4.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura teased small details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" as he discuss how Square Enix plans on improving the sequel's story and features. Nomura told Famitsu (via Gematsu) that players will see glimpses of "Kingdom Hearts 3" in the upcoming collection "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue" as "Birth by Sleep 0.2 - A Fragmentary Passage -" will feature several game elements that will added to the third game such as free running and open world exploration.
The concept of Command Styles in "Birth by Sleep 0.2" will be transferred to the Keyblade transformations within "Kingdom Hearts 3" and Nomura clears out that the "Birth By Sleep 02." is not a scrapped content in the sequel. It was originally part of "Kingdom Hearst 3" however, Nomura decided to cut the content from the game as he does not want to slow the pacing of the plot with many backstories.
Nomura added that he plans to reveal a small prelude for "Kingdom Hearts 3" before the game fully begin to make sure that everyone is caught up with the story. In addition, "Kingdom Hearts 3" will likely be release in Japan earlier than the rest of the world, but it will be nearly simultaneous when it launches.
In other news, "Kingdom Hearts 3" co-director Tai Yasue confirmed that the sequel will feature any "Final Fantasy" worlds and claimed that Square Enix plans on adding new original and Disney worlds for the game.
Having Disney worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3" can be easlu recognizable for players and Square Enix will implement several features for each world. So far, only three Disney worlds are confirmed within the game such Mt. Olympus from "Hercules", the kingdom of Corona in "Tangled" and San Frantokyo in "Big Hero 6". Other Disney worlds are rumored to show up in "Kingdom Hearts 3" from other movies like "Frozen", "Brave", "Wreck-it Ralph", "The Jungle Book", "Toy Story", "Zootopia" and many more.
Yasue also teased the possibility of having both Marvel and Star Wars worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3". He added that Square Enix might be working on a new compilation for "Kingdom Hearts" as all of the previous titles from the first game to the current will be featured, Gamespot reported.
Square Enix will likely reveal more details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" in the winter this year. "Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
