The "Jackie Chan and Tunak Tunak Tun" mix did happen, thanks to the 2017 "Kung Fu Yoga" who made it possible for the actor to know Bollywood dance moves. The Hong Kong native action star was filming his upcoming movie in India and was spotted shooting a Bollywood dance sequence a few months earlier. During the premiere of the film at Shanghai International Film Festival, the actor demonstrated his dance moves in an impromptu dance-off.

With Chan was his co-star Indian actor Sonu Sood and the two grooved to the tune of "Tunak Tunak Tun," a famous upbeat bhangra song by Daler Mehndi in 1998. The 62-year-old actor hesitated at first but easily performed the steps later. Sood seemed to teach him the Bollywood dance but ended up following his dance moves.

Known for his kung-fu fighting skills which he usually performs in lightning speed, the iconic Hong Kong star played Chief Yan Naing Lee in "Rush Hour" and Mr. Miyagi in "The Karate Kid," winning the hearts of many in everything he has done. Chan's flawless yet comical martial arts moves coupled with his hard work made him become one of the most loved and best known film stars.

Chan is part of the 90s nostalgia that refuses to fade away, and so is Mehndi's "Tunak Tunak Tun." Much to the delight of those who have these two chunks of nostalgia, Mr. Miyagi did dance moves to the tune of Mehndi's upbeat music.

For many, Chan slaying the bhangra beats of Mehndi's song is a rare gem, a phenomenal post that connects two unrelated epic that people growing up in the 1990s have known. Sood tweeted their video, calling the martial arts legend his "brother."

"Kung Fu Yoga" is an Indo-Chinese production filmed in India, Dubai and Beijing. Set to release on Jan. 28, 2017, it will have dialogues in Hindi, Mandarin and English. Indian actress Amyra Dastur also stars in the film which is one of the three films India and China agreed to create during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to India in 2015, according to DNA India.

Meanwhile, Chan commented on the blockbuster "Warcraft: The Beginning," expressing his thoughts that the film's success in China could lead to more homegrown blockbusters, Hollywood Reporter reported. The video game adaptation earned $156 million at China's box office from its five days of showing. The $160m movie merely grossed $24.4 million in the United States on its opening weekend.

"Warcraft made 600m yuan ($9M) in two days. This has scared the Americans," the actor spoke during the weekend at the Shanghai film festival on June 12, Sunday. "If we can make a film that earns 10 billion (1.5 billion), then people from all over the world who study film will learn Chinese, instead of us learning English."
