Musicians Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, producer Randy Jackson, and host Ryan Seacrest speak onstage during the 'American Idol' panel at the FOX Broadcasting Company at the Langham Hotel on January 11, 2011 in Pasadena, California.

"American Idol" Season 15 was supposed to be last for the popular Fox show, but it seems it is not yet over for the singing competition. The show's host, Ryan Seacrest was not alone when he hinted about the show's possible comeback during the season's finale. Creator Simon Fuller also teased that there could be a possible return after the show's hiatus.

In an interview with LA Times, Fuller, the XIX Entertainment CEO, who conceptualized "American Idol" in 2001 explained his real thoughts about the farewell season in April. He also hinted at the possible fate of the show.

"I think we probably felt [the end] was slightly premature," Fuller told the publication. "So, it was kind of like, hang on, before we start banging the nails in the coffin ... "

It is no doubt, "American Idol" brought new singers into full stardom in the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Phillip Phillips and Carrie Underwood. The show was also the platform where non-winners such as Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry started creating names for themselves.

In a long interview with Billboard in April, Fuller said that "American Idol" will be returning in a new format, adding that he had planned to revamp it long time to come up with a new version. After airing for 15 years, he revealed that he finally got the chance to remake it.

Fuller disclosed that he was planning for "American Idol" next generation, but with the success of "Idol" for more than 10 years, he admitted that it was a challenge for him to change its concept. According to him, they had been very protective of the show for the past 15 seasons and he wanted to preserve its legacy.

At the moment, the show creator is busy with lots of things, including his virtual reality projects. No certain words yet whether the show will be returning, but he revealed that his ideas are overflowing right now on reinventing a talent show with the use of modern technology.

It could be remembered that Seacrest left touching final remarks in the season's finale as he bid goodbye to everyone. However, after a long pause, he claimed that "American Idol" is saying goodbye "for now" that swiftly drew conclusions that after "American Idol" Season 15, the show will be returning.
