Motorola, the electronics manufacturer, is selling the Moto X Pure Edition for $299.99 ($100 discount) as part of its Father's Day promotion. The original price of the Motorola smartphone is $399.99. The device will work with Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
Also, the 32 GB Moto X Pure Edition is available for $349.99. The regular price of the device is $449.99. The 64 GB Moto X Pure Edition is now available $399.99. The original price of the device is $499.99.
The Moto X Pure Edition packs a 5.7-inch display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution, according to a report from BGR. Furthermore, the smartphone has 3 GB of RAM and is powered by hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset.
Other features of Moto X Pure Edition include 3,000 mAh battery and Adreno 417 GPU. The Motorola device has TurboPower charging that gives 10 hours of charge in 15 minutes.
Also, the Moto X Pure Edition sports a 21-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Moto X Pure Edition is nano-coated that guards it against spills and rain.
The device was launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, it has been updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
According to new reports, Motorola could be working on the Moto X (4th Generation) or Moto X (2016). Previous reports suggested that the tech company would kill its Moto X series and replace it with a Z family.
However, a Motorola device (model number Motorola XT1662) has been seen on GFXBench benchmarking site. It is thought to be the Moto X (fourth generation) or Moto X (2016).
The smartphone is seen sporting a 4.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,920x1080 pixels, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box, houses an ARM Mali-T860 GPU and powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor.
In addition, the new Motorola device is spotted with an 8 megapixel front-snapper, a 16 megapixel main camera, 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal memory.
The phone also supports USB, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. Rumors are doing the rounds that the Moto X 2016 will be released in July this year.
