Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge receive Android security, camera update via 70MB patch; No more video playback flickers

Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge are Android smartphones manufactured and marketed by Samsung Electronics.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have just received the new Android update. The company's release of a new patch for their 2016 devices in different parts of the world brought in notable improvements in camera and security features.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 update was initially released in the United Kingdom. This has been believed to be a significant move by the company to treat Galaxy S7 edge and S7 in the region following May security update failure. In Europe, the Samsung device Android patch comes in 392MB, while other regions will only be receiving 70MB firmware patch, Android Central

The new update for the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 will also bring the latest enhanced features for its camera. A previous issue of video playback flickering after recording has already been fixed. Moreover, the update will repair the issue of both Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 previews where images appear in either green or red.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and S7 first hit the market in March 2016 with the launch of Android 6.0 marshmallow operating system from Google. It brought additional  features like Doze, which helps lower the battery consumption by placing the device into Sleep mode when not in use. Another great feature wash highlighted by the company's official website. According to it, an App Standby feature will prevent the batteries from getting drained from frequent use of apps, and therefore, limit the impact on the battery life and make battery charging shorter.

Meanwhile, the Android Marshmallow OS which powers both Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and  S7 devices has also been updated. Advanced controls can now be used to ask permissions for all the installed apps. The firmware can now also support the Android Pay to give easier, more efficient and more secured features in the wireless payment service for its user.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge reviews have noted the both devices are the first to bring dual pixel technology features. It boasts a fast autofocus ability for less blur and a new modern sensor for capturing details in a a low light.
